Robert Lee had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 52-0 win over the Loraine Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Steers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Robert Lee's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Brenner Sherwood was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. Noah Gonzales got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
