Basketball Game Preview: Aquinas Fightin' Irish vs. Harlem Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Aquinas Fightin' Irish will take on the Harlem Bulldogs in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aquinas has given up an average of 57.8 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Aquinas ended up a good deal behind West Laurens and lost 60-46. The defeat continues a trend for the Fightin' Irish in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, in Thursday's Canine Competition, Harlem came out on top. They put the hurt on Howard with a sharp 65-43 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season.

Harlem's win came from a few key players Aquinas will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ty Shine, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Harlem's points. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Williams, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 20 points along with six assists and six steals.

Harlem was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Harlem, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Aquinas couldn't quite get it done against Harlem when the teams last played back in January as they fell 52-42. Can the Fightin' Irish avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
