Preview: Hagerty Huskies vs. Lake Mary Rams
The Hagerty Huskies just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Lake Mary Rams at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Hagerty gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Astronaut 89-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Hagerty has posted since January 5th.
Hagerty's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Dipaolo, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Julian Declou was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Bishop Moore scored an imposing 63 points on Monday, Lake Mary still came out on top. Lake Mary walked away with a 70-63 victory over Bishop Moore. The victory was some much needed relief for Lake Mary as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
The win (which was Hagerty's third in a row) raised their record to 14-7. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.67 points. As for Lake Mary, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
Hagerty didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lake Mary when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 82-78 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Lake Mary's Malik Raines, who scored 24 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Hagerty to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
