Smyrna falls despite big games from Tyreque Mccarver and Devon Roark

Recap: Smyrna Bulldogs vs. LaVergne Wolverines
The Smyrna Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against LaVergne, falling 64-35. Smyrna was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.
Devon Roark and Tyreque Mccarver certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Roark scored five points along with eight rebounds, while Mccarver scored six points along with four blocks. It was the first time this season that Roark pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Smyrna has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for LaVergne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-7.
Smyrna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. LaVergne also has no future games currently scheduled.
