Volleyball Recap: Lyman Hall Takes a Loss

Lyman Hall lost against Cheshire back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0.

Lyman Hall was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 25-22.

Emily Simmons paced Lyman Hall's offense, picking up two kills. Simmons got some help from Lauren Aitkenhead and her three assists. Aitkenhead also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Nyema Rivera-Burke, racking up three apiece.

Lyman Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cheshire, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lyman Hall has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Maloney on the 5th. As for Cheshire, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Sacred Heart Academy on the 8th.
