The Mourning Sharks are on the road again on Friday to play the Reagan Bison at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Mourning made easy work of Sunset and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Mourning didn't let Sunset take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-23.

Mourning can attribute much of their success to Sadie Dunham, who had three digs and two aces, and Emma Winston, who had 15 digs.

She wasn't the only good server: Mourning was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 23 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Reagan earned a 3-1 win over Hialeah Gardens on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Reagan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-12, 25-15, 25-16.

Mourning's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Reagan, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
