Basketball Preview: Groves Falcons vs. Lake Orion Dragons
The Groves Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Orion Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Groves has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Groves is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 65-15 victory over Clarenceville. The Falcons pushed the score to 59-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans had no chance of recovering from.

Harlem Simpson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 12 for 22 on her way to 26 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacey Roy, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds.
Groves smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Lake Orion was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Rochester 47-20. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
