Basketball Recap: Evanston Falls Short Against Ranked Star Valley

On Thursday, Evanston faced Star Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Evanston Devils were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Star Valley Braves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Braves this season, with their most recent loss being a 59-44 defeat back in January.

Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Star Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Evanston and Star Valley will both be playing Riverton the next time they take the court. Star Valley will head out to face Riverton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Evanston will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th.
