Softball Recap: Perry County Comes Up Short

Perry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wayne County Wildcats. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Perry County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wayne County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Perry County will welcome Hughes at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wayne County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Adamsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Cardinals have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
