Soccer Game Preview: Widefield vs. Mesa Ridge

Widefield is 1-8-1 against Mesa Ridge since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Gladiators will host the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Widefield has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Widefield came up short against Canon City on Thursday, falling 6-2.

Lizzy Brown and Madison Raymond-Clayton scored both of the Gladiators' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Meanwhile, Mesa Ridge didn't have quite enough to beat Coronado on Wednesday and fell 2-1. Mesa Ridge haven't had much luck with Coronado recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Widefield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Mesa Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-2.
