Volleyball Recap: Seattle Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday + How To Watch

Seattle Academy came into Wednesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against West Seattle by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

The win didn't come easy: West Seattle scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23.

Avery McIntosh paced Seattle Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. McIntosh got some help from Maeve Campbell and her 27 assists. McIntosh was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-11. As for West Seattle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seattle Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, West Seattle will take on rival Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
