Volleyball Recap: Wahoo Falls Despite Big Games from Faith Davis and Elena Estudillo

Wahoo was the 3-0 winner over Platteview when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-10, 24-26, 25-15.

Wahoo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elena Estudillo, who had 21 digs and three assists, and Faith Davis, who had eight digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Estudillo is now averaging an impressive 11 digs per game. Claire Emerson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Wahoo's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-5. As for Platteview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Wahoo will face off against Oakland-Craig at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Platteview, they will challenge Beatrice at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
