Soccer Recap: Riverside-Durham Comes Up Short

Riverside-Durham and Ashley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Riverside-Durham had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Screaming Eagle by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Riverside-Durham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Ashley are ranked 21st).

Riverside-Durham's goal came courtesy of Michael Salinas Ord??ez, who's now up to seven this season.

Riverside-Durham now has a losing record of 9-10-4. As for Ashley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4-3.

As of now, neither Riverside-Durham nor the Screaming Eagle have any future games scheduled.
