Basketball Game Preview: Lakota Tech Tatanka vs. Sioux Valley Cossacks

The Lakota Tech Tatanka will face off against the Sioux Valley Cossacks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakota Tech is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Lakota Tech managed to keep up with Dakota Valley until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Lakota Tech was dealt a 63-32 defeat at the hands of Dakota Valley. The Tatanka were down 50-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Sioux Valley ended up a good deal behind Custer on Friday and lost 56-37.

Sioux Valley's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Lakota Tech, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Lakota Tech came up short against Sioux Valley in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 68-57. Can Lakota Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
