Volleyball Recap: Appleton East Falls Despite Big Games from Addison Kiekhaefer and Zoe Wockenfus

Appleton East had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Wrightstown Tigers by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Despite the loss, Appleton East had strong showings from Zoe Wockenfus, who had ten digs and three assists, and Addison Kiekhaefer, who had ten assists and eight digs. Wockenfus has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

The win got Wrightstown back to even at 1-1.

Appleton East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Fox Valley Lutheran on the 26th. As for Wrightstown, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Little Chute on the 26th.
