Jake Thompson, Briarcrest Christian's leader in runs on the season, led the team again on Tuesday. Thompson wasn't messing around, scoring three runs and stealing two bases. The match was his sixth straight with at least one stolen base.

Thompson's strong effort led Briarcrest Christian over Memphis University School and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saints are 8-2 against the Owls going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
