Volleyball Recap: Buchanan Bears vs. Clovis East Timberwolves
After flying high against Clovis North last Thursday, Buchanan came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the Clovis East Timberwolves by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Buchanan took Clovis East into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-21, 15-13.
Nathan Webb paced Buchanan's offense, picking up 17 kills. Webb got some help from Cole Haroldsen and his 23 assists. Webb was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.
