Baseball Recap: Clay Find Success

Clay won the last time they faced Oak Harbor and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 5-1 win over the Rockets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

George Edwards looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landon Eversman, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Jacob Weseman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Clay's record now sits at 15-9. As for Oak Harbor, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.
