Volleyball Recap: Tuscarawas Central Catholic Falls Short of Calvert in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tuscarawas Central Catholic can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Calvert Senecas on Thursday. Considering the last time the Saints couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-11.

Khloe Trivoli paced Tuscarawas Central Catholic's offense, picking up four kills. Trivoli got some help from Jessica Selinsky and her seven assists.

Leading Calvert to victory were Claire Schoenberger and Kate Coleman. Schoenberger had ten digs and four aces, while Coleman had five digs and one assist. That's the most aces Schoenberger has posted since back in October.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic's defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-6. As for Calvert, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 28-0.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvert, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Monroeville on the 8th.
