Volleyball Recap: Bryce Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rio Hondo Prep over Chadwick

Rio Hondo Prep managed to slip by Chadwick the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Kares came up short against the Dolphins on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Kares have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-14.

Rio Hondo Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bryce Johnson, who had ten digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Evonny Ortega, who had nine digs and four aces.

Rio Hondo Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Chadwick, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rio Hondo Prep will face off against Westridge at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chadwick, they will take on North at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
