Soccer Preview: Villa Angela-St. Joseph and Crestwood Square Off

The Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings will challenge the Crestwood Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crestwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Villa Angela-St. Joseph was handed a nine-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Brush, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, Crestwood fell victim to Lutheran West and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns.

Villa Angela-St. Joseph's win brought them up to 2-3-1. As for Crestwood, they have now lost four of their last five games at home. That gives them a 5-4-2 record this season.
