Malad and Snake River are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Malad Dragons will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Snake River Panthers at 4:00 p.m.

Last Monday, Malad came up short against Century and fell 5-1.

Carter Carey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, everything went Snake River's way against Teton on Wednesday as Snake River made off with a 13-4 victory.

Levi Gillins looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Justin Wray and Dawson Jorgensen did most of the damage at the plate: Wray scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Jorgensen scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ridj Allen, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Malad's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Snake River, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Malad took their victory against Snake River in their previous meeting last Wednesday by a conclusive 10-3. Will Malad repeat their success, or does Snake River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
