Basketball Recap: IMG Academy Gold Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the IMG Academy Gold Ascenders ended up a good deal behind the Gibbs Gladiators and lost 64-50. The Ascenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gibbs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Daniels, who posted ten points along with seven assists and six boards. What's more, Daniels also racked up five steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Oneal Delancy was another key player, going 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points.

IMG Academy Gold's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Gibbs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. IMG Academy Gold will face off against Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gibbs, they will square off against Northeast at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gibbs will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
