Baseball Recap: James Monroe's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

James Monroe got themselves on the board against WestSide on Saturday, but WestSide never followed suit. They came out on top against the Renegades by a score of 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Mavericks, who have now won three matches in a row.

WestSide's batters probably weren't too happy with Kadyn Hines, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 19 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Hines also allowed no hits, which is notable because James Monroe is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-2 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brycen Parker, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Carson Koen was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

James Monroe now has a winning record of 4-3. As for WestSide, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, James Monroe will head out on the road to take on Wyoming East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for WestSide, they will be playing at home against Bluefield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. WestSide is facing Bluefield at the right time seeing as Bluefield is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
