Football Recap: George County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

George County lost against Terry back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rebels took a 27-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why George County lost, don't look at Branden Gautier. Despite the final result, he rushed for 177 yards and one score. Gautier was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.

Ronde Baker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Terry, rushing for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 44 receiving yards and one TD. Brayden Gipson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 106 receiving yards.

George County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Terry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, George County will take on Forest Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Terry, they will square off against Hattiesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
