After a string of 12 wins, Hampton Roads Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 63-51 to the Catholic Crusaders. The Navigators lost against the Crusaders in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 81-13 score last time.

Hampton Roads Academy's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-2. As for Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Hampton Roads Academy and Heritage will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Catholic, they will be playing at home against Virginia Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Catholic's favor as the squad sits on 17 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Virginia Academy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
