Basketball Recap: Dwight Takes a Loss

Dwight lost against Wilmington two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dwight Trojans took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilmington Wildcats. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Wilmington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Rink led the charge by putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Ryan Nelson was another key player, posting ten points and five rebounds.

Dwight's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Wilmington, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dwight will challenge Roanoke-Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilmington, they will square off against Peotone at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Wilmington is facing Peotone at the right time seeing as Peotone is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
