Altus came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Apache Warriors, falling 11-5. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Altus saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Adams, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Xavier Pitts was another, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Altus' loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for Apache, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Altus will head out to face off against Del City at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.55 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Apache, they will venture away from home to challenge Canute at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
