Basketball Recap: Salt Fork Takes a Loss

Salt Fork suffered their biggest defeat since February 9th on Saturday. They took a blow against the Phalen Leadership Academy Falcon, falling 64-36.

Drelan Vaden was nothing short of spectacular for Phalen Leadership Academy: he went 9 of 12 en route to 21 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ja'Ceon Long, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Salt Fork's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Salt Fork will be playing in front of their home fans against Chrisman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Salt Fork is facing Chrisman at the right time seeing as Chrisman is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, they will challenge Indianapolis Shortridge at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Phalen Leadership Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
