Baseball Game Preview: Canyon Cowboys vs. Oxnard Yellowjackets

The Canyon Cowboys will head out to face off against the Oxnard Yellowjackets at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Canyon is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for Canyon after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 11-4 to Hart.

Canyon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Bayliss, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Andrew Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Oxnard had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Fillmore 1-0.

Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 3-23. As for Oxnard, their win bumped their record up to 10-17.
