Baseball Recap: Colony Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

Colony had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Garden Grove on Saturday. The Colony Titans blew past the Garden Grove Argonauts 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Steven Gonzales, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Garden Grove off the board. Gonzales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Elijah Ybanez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brody Litwin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Colony pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Garden Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
