Pennridge hadn't done well against Central Bucks East recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Patriots 2-0. The Rams were shut out 10-0 the last time they took on the Patriots, so the Rams were just returning the favor.

The result came thanks to Ryder Olson's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Connor Murray was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Pennridge is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Central Bucks East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Pennridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
