Volleyball Recap: Acalanes Comes Up Short

Acalanes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Campolindo Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Acalanes' loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Campolindo, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Acalanes is set to take on their familiar foe Clayton Valley Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Campolindo will face off against rival College Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are on a 14-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Falcons a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
