Basketball Game Preview: Southside Panthers vs. Georgiana Panthers

The Southside Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Georgiana Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Southside saw some tournament action back in December of 2024. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Keith an easy 51-25 victory. The Panthers have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Georgiana duked it out withGreenville on Saturday. Georgiana opened the new year with a less-than-successful 58-49 loss to Greenville.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Georgiana, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Southside came up short against Georgiana in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 38-29. Can Southside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
