Football Recap: Omaha North Extends Winning Streak to Four

Omaha North had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 50.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bellevue West Thunderbirds as they made off with a 41-20 victory. With the Vikings ahead 27-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

It was another big night for Jaron Cannon, who rushed for 168 yards and a pair of scores. Darion Jones got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Omaha North's run defense was locked in: Bellevue West could only muster 2.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Max Clark for the heroic effort on defense: he. Omaha North didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.5.

Omaha North didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jones and Cannon. Jones got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Omaha North's record is now 6-2. As for Bellevue West, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.
