Basketball Recap: Norton Science & Language Academy Comes Up Short

Norton Science & Language Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hesperia Christian Patriots, falling 60-29. The Rockets were down 52-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Norton Science & Language Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Richard Pelayo and Ayden Alba. Pelayo posted nine points, while Alba had eight points.

Ethan Flores was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and four steals for Hesperia Christian. Noah Griffin was another key player, putting up ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Norton Science & Language Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hesperia Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.

Norton Science & Language Academy has already played their next contest (against The Grove School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hesperia Christian has already played their next game, a 68-53 win against University Prep on the 28th.
