Soccer Game Preview: Standing Bear vs. Gretna East

The Standing Bear Grizzlies will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Gretna East Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Standing Bear's offense. They came up short against Lincoln High on Saturday, falling 6-0. One thing that didn't help Standing Bear's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Sam Abak.

Meanwhile, Gretna East also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Hastings by a score of 1-0 on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Standing Bear and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Gretna East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
