Basketball Recap: Marion County Takes a Loss

Marion County lost to Chattahoochee County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Panthers are ranked 108th).

Marion County's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Chattahoochee County, the win (which was their 23rd in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

Marion County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-51 defeat against Macon County on the 20th. Chattahoochee County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
