Volleyball Recap: Cameron Comes Up Short

Cameron lost against Madonna back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dragons fell 3-1 to the Blue Dons.

Madonna found their leader in freshman Breea Birkhimer, who had 11 digs and four aces. Birkhimer is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Cameron has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Madonna, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-9-1.

Coming up, Cameron will be taking part in a tournament against Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madonna, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Clay-Battelle on the 22nd.
