Ellington came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Eminence Redwings. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Ellington who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-13, 23-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-9.

Ellington found their leader in sophomore Lindsay Gore, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Ellington's victory bumped their record up to 30-4-1. As for Eminence, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 19-14-1 record.

As of now, neither Ellington nor the Redwings have any future games scheduled.
