Baseball Recap: Sturgis Comes Up Short

Sturgis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Niles Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Friday.

Sturgis' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Niles, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Sturgis is taking a road trip to take on Constantine at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Niles, they will be playing in front of their home fans against NorthWood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
