Baseball Game Preview: Nandua Warriors vs. Salisbury Christian

The Nandua Warriors will head out on the road to challenge Salisbury Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Nandua nor Norfolk Christian made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Ambassadors by a score of 6-5. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Salisbury Christian and Arcadia, and Arcadia kept the tradition alive. Salisbury Christian lost 15-5 to Arcadia on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Salisbury Christian in their meetings with Arcadia: they've now lost three in a row.

Salisbury Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Nandua, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Nandua was able to grind out a solid win over Salisbury Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
