Basketball Recap: Whiting Oilers vs. Highland Trojans
Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Highland Trojans and fell 54-21. While losing is never fun, the Oilers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Trojans are ranked 214th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Pack, who went 6 of 13 en route to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Walter Glover Jr, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.
Whiting's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Highland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
