Hockinson and Washougal are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Hawks will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

While Hockinson's win against Ridgefield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks skirted past the Spudders 7-6.

The team relied heavily on Skyler Liddie, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washougal). They put the hurt on Woodland with a sharp 14-4 victory on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Nash Neumann was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Owen MacDonald, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Washougal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hockinson's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Washougal, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Hockinson might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Washougal when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
