League recap: ISRAEL throws longest pass in league this season for Lake Nona

TUCKER ISRAEL and MEHDI ELATTRACH provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Kathleen. The connection was good for 80 yards, the longest such play in 7A District 6 this season.

Osceola moved up to 45 from 114 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Kowboys were able to move up by beating Lakeland 33-21.

ISRAEL threw for 480 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 37-61 with 1 interception.

ISRAEL put up the best numbers through the air as Lake Nona lost to the Devils /Red. ISRAEL's favorite target this week was DEONDRE FARRIER, who caught 13 passes for 155 yards.

Lake Nona's ISRAEL and RYAN SOUSA have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback ISRAEL has thrown for 3,979 yards this season, while SOUSA has 100 catches for 1,664 yards. Gateway's Isaiha Wharton leads the league in rushing yards with 892.

So far this year, he has acheived 55 catches for 909 yards.

Adding to the longest winning streak in 7A District 6 this week, Osceola beat the Dreadnaughts 33-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for Doug Nichols' team.
