Basketball Recap: Parker Takes a Loss

Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 52-34 to the Gadsden City Titans. The Thundering Herd were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Parker lost, don't look at Teralyn Hill. Despite the final result, she dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 12 boards, and 12 blocks. Those 12 blocks gave Hill a new career-high.

Gadsden City found their leader in sophomore Naomi Wise, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Madison Tinker, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 15 points.

Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Gadsden City, their record now sits at 7-11.

Parker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 39-29 loss against Anniston on the 28th. As for Gadsden City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-41 win against Huffman on the 28th.
