Preview: McLeod Longhorns vs. Linden-Kildare Tigers
McLeod has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Linden-Kildare Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully McLeod is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Linden-Kildare in Texas (McLeod is ranked 448th, while Linden-Kildare is ranked 1616th).
Last Friday, McLeod strolled past Harleton with points to spare, taking the game 44-30.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Linden-Kildare, who are still winless after their ninth match. They were dealt a 74-5 defeat at the hands of Big Sandy on Saturday. Linden-Kildare has not had much luck with Big Sandy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
McLeod's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-2. As for Linden-Kildare, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for McLeod against Linden-Kildare in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 66-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McLeod since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
