Basketball Recap: The Prairie School Comes Up Short

The Prairie School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 60-44 fall against the Racine Lutheran Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Crusaders are ranked 33rd).

The Prairie School's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Racine Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Prairie School has already played their next contest (against Martin Luther), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Racine Lutheran will take on St. Catherine's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Racine Lutheran knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully St. Catherine's likes a good challenge.
