Preview: Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders vs. Wilson Hall Barons

Heathwood Hall Episcopal is 8-2 against Wilson Hall since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wilson Hall Barons at 7:30 p.m. Heathwood Hall Episcopal, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Wilson Hall's (thus far) undefeated season.

Last Friday, Heathwood Hall Episcopal came up short against Porter-Gaud and fell 57-50. While losing is never fun, Heathwood Hall Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Porter-Gaud is ranked second).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nic Nichols, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds. He scored a full 32% of Heathwood Hall Episcopal's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Deuce Claxton, who scored 11 points.

Wilson Hall has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Orangeburg Prep 75-54.

Northside Christian Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Heathwood Hall Episcopal's loss dropped theirs to 0-2.

Heathwood Hall Episcopal won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January, slipping by Wilson Hall 45-44. Does Heathwood Hall Episcopal have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wilson Hall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
