Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walden Grove). They breezed by the Sahuaro Cougars on the road to the tune of 72-27 on Friday. With the Red Wolves ahead 45-21 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Kaleb Layton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 452 yards and six touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. Jordan Eschenbrenner also helped out as he racked up 109 receiving yards.
Walden Grove wouldn't let Sahuaro keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Walden Grove can thank Jose Jd Chafin and Carlos Montoya Jr for forcing both of them.
